The Challenge
The HHS 5200 was Whelen's next-generation flagship emergency vehicle control platform, introducing new hardware, firmware, and manufacturing capabilities. The challenge was bringing all of those pieces together without compromising the reliability expected by emergency responders. Delivering the platform required close coordination across engineering, manufacturing, testing, quality, and product management while keeping the program on schedule and moving toward launch.

Outcome
The HHS 5200 successfully launched as Whelen's flagship EMS control platform, expanding system capabilities while maintaining the reliability standards expected by emergency responders. The completed platform moved into production with an annual target of approximately 2,000 units.
